Webinars are great opportunities for brands and businesses to share their perspective. Unfortunately, far too many businesses just use them as an opportunity to give an extra long product pitch. But if I’m asking someone to give up thirty minutes to an hour of their time, I think they deserve more than a sales pitch. Webinars are an opportunity to educate and connect, not to convert. So whenever I plan a webinar, my first priority is to provide real insight on whatever topic I’ve chosen, because I believe that when you give your audience useful, actionable, interesting information, you also give them a reason to come back to you when they’re ready to be a customer.
As Director of Brand Narrative, I wrote nearly two dozen webinars for our executives and tech leaders, but rarely got the chance to deliver them myself. When our VP of Business Alliances came down with Covid and lost her voice, however, I happily stepped in to present this webinar on workforce transformation, which actually happens to be an issue I’m passionate about. This webinar with Catalyst Connection allowed us to share the insights we’d gathered about how robots are a force multiplier for human staff with a wide audience of manufacturing leaders.
