I’ve had the great luck to be asked many times now to create card titles and write flavor text (the italic “story” copy at the bottom of some cards) for recent or upcoming Magic: The Gathering card sets. As part of these projects, the writing team is given a story bible for the set. We brainstorm titles and flavor text intended to draw players deeper into the lore, give hints of the wider world, and move the story forward.
The collection below includes some cards that I wrote titles and flavor text for, but on most of them I only wrote one or the other. I will add credit to the other writers as I am able to identify them.
