These were included as extras in Marvel Universe action figure packages, during the Civil War era of Marvel comics. They were supposed to be secret memos and documents being used by SHIELD and other organizations to communicate about the heroes they were hunting. Within the limits of that brief, Marvel and Hasbro gave me total freedom on the content of these piece, which made this project one of my all-time favorites. I was allowed to play in the wider Marvel universe, build on the existing storylines and characters of the Civil War crossover event (which was an era-defining moment in comics), and write in a way that gave kids and fans an entry point into the sometimes dense lore of the comics.
