For several years, I was the writer of a comic series included in the Transformers Fan Club monthly newsletter. Over five years, I wrote an interconnected, dimension-hopping story that brought together a set of five characters (released by the fan club over the corresponding five years). It was a complex creative challenge during which I was forced to adapt to changing business priorities from the fan club and Hasbro, alter characters because of production delays, etc. In spite of the complexities, the story came out as something I’m extremely proud of. The first few issues of this comic were eventually collected in the Balancing Act trade paperback from IDW comics.
