Comic books are a phenomenal storytelling medium, combining the visceral visual action of a movie with the subtlety and depth of the written word. Scripting a comic is a unique and exciting challenge, since the writer has to think first about how he wants the page to look - what story are the visuals going to tell - and then about what text will be needed for both exposition and flavor. And then, of course, when the script is done, the writer must surrender all control to the artists to interpret his vision and overlay their own. Luckily, in most of the comics I've written, I've been partnered with phenomenal artists (linked below where possible).
